Lesley Pearson Moore, Wellbeing Coordinator, at HC-One’s
Pendleton Court care home in Salford, Manchester, a 58-bed residential, nursing and residential dementia care home, has been shortlisted for The Care Home Activity Organiser Award Category at the Great British Care Awards 2022 for the North West region.
The nomination for the award is in recognition of her hard work and kind care shown to Residents, Relatives and Colleagues as well as the dedication and passion Lesley shows every day to ensure the people she supports receive the best quality care.
Her passion for wellbeing and quality of life has been shown in many ways: ranging from constantly looking for new ways to link with the local community to taking part in every project offered to enrich the lives of people living at Pendleton Court. Most recently, she has been supporting a new Resident that has moved in the home to rediscover his passion for guitars and music by organising guitar lessons and playing music together! He had not played guitar for many years before that!
Quality Of Life Specialist, Lawra Baumane, who nominated Lesley for the award, said:
“Our very passionate Lesley has been outstanding in her role as a Wellbeing Coordinator, bringing meaningful and positive changes to the wellbeing of our Residents since she joined HC-One company and Pendleton Court care home some 8+ years ago.
She is always striving to find solutions and ways around any obstacles in order to meet the needs of people that we support and provide everybody with the best outcomes!
We are very lucky to have her here at HC-One!”
The Great British Care Awards consist of 21 awards, which cover a wide range of areas of the social care sector. The awards are a series of regional events throughout the UK and are a celebration of distinction across the care sector. The awards pay tribute to those who have demonstrated outstanding excellence within their area of work. The award ceremony of the Great British Care Awards 2022, Regional Awards for the North West region takes place at The Kimpton Clocktower Hotel on Saturday 12th November 2022, when the winners will be announced. Successful winners at the North West regional awards will progress to the national finals of the Great British Care Awards 2023 taking place on Friday 17th March 2023 at the ICC in Birmingham.
