Smiles all around as Meadow Bank Residents journey out on the minibusMeadow Bank care home, in Bamber Bridge, Preston, has been given the use of a minibus on a regular basis and Colleagues wasted no time in organising some outings for Residents.

Residents from the home’s Ribble community, at the 110-bed residential, nursing and dementia care home, were accompanied by Wellbeing Coordinators Kerry Horrocks and Dawn Ward, and the home’s Gardener, Norman, on a trip to the local Avant garden centre, in Leyland, Preston, as one of the first trips out of 2023.

It was a beautiful visit as Residents enjoyed looking at all the stunning flowers, ornaments and handmade décor at the centre. They also visited the aquatic centre and obviously finished off with the obligatory brew and delicious slide of cake in the café.

Residents loved going out of the home and commented on how much of a joy it was seeing the different sights and new faces.

Melanie Matthews Receptionist, commented, “It's lovely to have the use of the minibus, and this is only the start of more adventures for Meadow Bank.”
