Sparkling Bonfire Night at the Millbrook for HC-One’s 10th birthdayBonfire night at Millbrook residential care home, in Stalybridge, has been popular this year, and in particular as it marks the celebration of HC-One’s 10th birthday.

Residents came together in the evening, wrapped up warm and wore their mittens for a hot cup of mulled cider. Some Relatives also joined to celebrate the bonfire.

Traditional food, including meat and potato pie, and parkin, was served in the garden, whilst Colleagues stood together with families and friends, socially distanced, to watch the fireworks display.

As the temperatures dropped, many of the Residents came into the main lounge for the firework display.

Invited guests complimented the food and the night has been a success for everyone.

One of the Relatives remarked, “My compliments to the chef! It was the best meat and potato pie I ever had!”

Claire Jones, Home Manager, said, “It was lovely to see children watching the fireworks, and to see everyone enjoying themselves on such a cold night!”

“It was a very successful event enjoyed by all that took part.”
