Spreading love at Ash Grange care homeResidents at Ash Grange, residential and nursing care home, in Walsall, have had lots of fun recently celebrating Valentines Day and Random Act of Kindness Day.

Valentines Day is a huge hit at Ash Grange and the Residents love to get involved in many activities.

The Residents started their Valentines Day by tucking into a special Valentine’s lunch which was tomato soup to start, and steak and ale pie with chips peas and gravy for main.

Then for pudding the Residents had warm chocolate fudge cake with cream to serve. They all enjoyed sitting around the table together to enjoy a nice meal.

In the afternoon they enjoyed celebrating Valentines Day by being the first Residents to spend time at the brand-new pub, where they enjoyed having an tipple while dancing along to music.

The on the 17th of February, Residents, Wellbeing Team and Home Manager, wanted to treat all the other Colleagues to a random act of kindness to thank them for all the hard work they do for the Residents and their home.

As a collective, it was decided to purchases a coffee machine for the Colleagues to use in the staff room whilst on their breaks or at work. It went down a treat and everyone was so thankful for the kind gesture.

Ure Ejemole, Care Home Manager, said, “Both Residents and Colleagues are so thankful for everything they do within the home. It was so lovely seeing them have a lovely time on Valentines Day and seeing Colleagues being rewarded for their hard work.”
