Appleton Lodge residential care home, in Bredbury, enjoyed some fun and games to celebrate VE day on Saturday.
Residents enjoyed reminiscing with various historical materials including old newspaper clippings, speeches and other memorabilia.
A lovely afternoon tea was also served with themed cupcakes and residents indulged while memorial songs were played in the background.
The Residents enjoyed singing along with the old music and the reminiscence material as well as having a good chat with Colleagues. See pictured Colleagues Cheryl Bell, Kelly Williams and Allison Lawson getting fully involved in the celebrations.
Kay Slinger, Care Home Manager, remarked, “It was so heart-warming to see the Residents enjoying the themed music in the home and singing along to their hearts content.”
