HC-One’s Summerville care home, in Stockton Heath, Warrington was visited on Saturday 2nd December by the Mayor and Mayoress of Warrington, as the home hosted their annual Christmas Fayre on Saturday 2nd December.
Brian Beddard, who is Summerville care home’s longest staying resident, having made it his home in September 2014, was the first to welcome Mayor and Mayoress Steve and Julie Wright to the care home. Brian was extremely proud.
The Christmas Fayre was officially opened by the Warrington Mayor and the Mayoress, as they cut the ribbon to the doors of the home.
At the fayre itself, there were several stalls ranging from cakes, delicious food, festive drinks, retro items, wellbeing, a tombola, the Bodyshop, and games. Colleagues Ruth and Chloe did a fantastic job selling the items, including the amazing food made by the home’s Chef Stephen Dorey.
Father Christmas himself made an appearance at the Summerville grotto with many children from Warrington attending to talk through their Christmas lists. Then the entertainment was complete with Care Assistant Zube playing the piano, who was joined by the children and Father Christmas to sing carols.
Residents and colleagues of the HC-One owned home enjoyed meeting Mayor and Mayoress Steve and Julie Wright and chatting to them about what life is like at Summerville care home name – which is an integral part of the local Warrington community. They also participated in the wellbeing activity programme, which included lots of games and singing throughout the day.

The Mayor of Warrington, Cllr Steve Wright, stated:
“It was a pleasure to help commence the festive fun at Summerville. I enjoyed speaking with residents and staff to learn more about what life is like at the care home.”
