As Care Home Open Week is soon approaching, Summerhill care home in Kendal is already staring their preparations.
Summerhill will hold their open day on the 1st July from 1:30pm-5pm, inviting Residents, family members and the local community to join in with their celebrations.
Visitors on the day will include David Dale a local storyteller and poet, Emily Davies who will put the visitors through their paces with some seated dance and Lana Grindley of the local community group Lovearts who will be setting up a floral art workshop for all the visitors to try.
There will be so many activities going on throughout the day and Hayley the gardener will be running a small planting workshop and making a cement hand print mural of all the Residents and visitors.
Sean Moore and Andrew Thistlewood, Wellbeing Coordinators at Summerhill are working hard preparing for the event and can’t wait to welcome everyone to their beautiful home.
Kathleen Dean, Care Home Manager, commented, “Everyone here at Summerhill are excited for the celebrations to begin!”
