The Salvation Army visit Greenways Court care homeResidents at HC-One’s Greenways Court, residential and residential memory care home, in
Consett have had a special visit from the Salvation Army.

Every year the Salvation Army come to Greenways Court around Christmas time for a lovely visit.

May, a Resident has been a loyal member of the Salvation Army alongside her family.

The band which attends the home have been keeping in touch with May whilst being in Greenways Court, they often visit and help with her gardening area outside of her bedroom door. May has always been a keen gardener.

Residents sat in the dining area and watched from the windows to see the band playing. They joined in with some Christmas carols.

A family member of one of the band members, Arthur, is a Resident at Greenways Court and he really enjoyed listening to the band.

May, commented, “They played very well indeed.” This was a high praise from May who plays the organ to a very high standard.

Care Home Manager, Kinga Kowaliczek, added, “Each year the Residents love when the bank come to play, they are already looking forward to it next year.”
