Three new arrivals at Manchester care homeColleagues at HC One’s Brookdale View care home, brought in three new arrivals to the home, in the form of empathy dolls.

October has seen the arrival of three new "Empathy Dolls" for three of the Residents at the Manchester care home.

Resident Sadie Douglas looks after Fred, Ivy Bell looks after Reuben and May on the ground floor looks after Sally.

All three Residents love the dolls and look after them, taking them everywhere and delighting the staff with their empathy and compassion.

Resident Ivy (a former midwife) sings to her doll, today it was the "Grand old Duke of York". Ivy commented “ahhh, ain’t he lovely!”
Resident Sadie dotes on her little one also, dressing and changing his clothes regularly.

There is also a Resident downstairs, Mrs Dianne Cannon, who is currently knitting jumpers and shawls for all three dolls!

Resident May, who has little girl Sally to look after, doesn't let her out of her sight, and insists she joins her for meals and is there with her at bed times too.

All three Residents love their dolls very much and they have been a great addition to the home.
