Residents and Colleagues at HC-One’s Thamesfield care home embraced the sun recently as they spent the afternoon on board the Rivertime Trust Boat along the river Thames.
They set off upstream towards Temple Island as they passed the tents which were prepared for the Henley Regatta, and saw many rowers out practicing on the river. They then turned back towards Wargrave as they admired the scenery through the Marsh lock, looking at the beautfiul properties along the riverside.
After the wonderful trip, Residents were served a cream tea which consisted of home made scones, jam and cream, alongside a well-earned warm drink.
Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves as they remarked how peaceful it was.
Lina Nela, Home Manager, commented: “What a wonderful afternoon it has been, the sun was shining beautifully as we enjoyed our sail across the river.”
