Wigan Residents take part in HC-One Christmas Card CompetitionColleagues asked Residents at Rosebridge Court care home, in Hindley, Wigan, if they would they like to participate in an arts and crafts afternoon for HC-One’s Christmas card competition.

Every year, HC-One ask Residents from across the nation if they would like to craft a card which will be entered into the competition, and the winner will be printed and used as the official card.

Many Residents decided they would like to enter the competition and set about completing their entries.

The theme of the session was obviously ‘festivities’ and all enjoyed the session, some Residents were inspired to colour and paint their own Christmas scene instead.

The entries were thoughtful, and Residents were focused on their entries with some lovely cards being made.

Six cards were then chosen to enter the competition and everyone is so proud of the effort and concentration shown by all involved.

One of the Residents at the 46-bed nursing dementia care home, said, “I really enjoyed that. I hope we will win!”

Sarah Cunliffe, Home Administrator, commented, “The sense of effort and achievement was observed and what pride from the Residents in producing an entry.”
