Woodchurch care home Resident showcases creative talentIt’s not unusual at HC-One’s County Homes care home, in Woodchurch, Birkenhead, to have a variety of different wellbeing activities taking place. This includes regular arts and crafts sessions for Residents, and on 12th April, Dorothy showed what she could do with a handful of colourful paper.

When Dorothy Nave (pictured), was young, she said that she always wanted to be an artist and she certainly has the creative flair. During the art session, Dorothy used colourful papers, and her imagination to make a beautiful picture of tree and some flowers.

Dorothy, who lives at the 82-bed nursing dementia care home, says that she loves to use a variety of colours and make things bring to pop out of a picture. When asked if she enjoyed the session, she said, “I had a lovely time!”

Paula Royle, Home Administrator, commented, “It’s always so nice to see Residents’ creations in our arts and crafts sessions. Dorothy’s pictures were just wonderful.”
