Jimmy and Ina McNairn from Kennolworth,
Quayside care home in Yoker, have recently celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary surrounded by their family.
On Wednesday the 13th of July, both Ina and Jimmy were very excited to be celebrating 60 years of being married to one another.
Jimmy has been living at the nursing and nursing dementia care home for a while and recently his wife Ina has made the permanent move into the care home. Both were very happy to be spending their special day together.
Housekeeper Pauline Graham decorated the quite room and a lovely afternoon tea was set up for Jimmy and Ina.
Ina and Jimmy both enjoyed a gin and tonic, with a toast to such a happy occasion.
Both Jimmy and Ina were really happy to spend the day in each other’s company and alongside their family.
The couple commented, “We can’t believe its been sixty years, its so hard to take that in. It doesn’t seem that long ago.”
Wellbeing Coordinator, Anne McDade, remarked, “It was just fantastic. Despite some of the COVID restrictions still being in place Ina and Jimmy were able to spend the day together and have their family around them. A huge congratulations from everyone at Quayside.”
