Burns gym session and pyjama day at Dunmow care homeEveryone had a fun day at The Moat House care home, in Essex, when Colleagues dressed in their favourite pyjamas, nighties and onesies for a fundraising day. All proceeds are going towards the Residents Comfort Fund, which provides extra treats throughout the year to Residents.

The day coincided with the home’s new Gym Sessions, which have been organised by HC-One, in collaboration with Burns Gym, based in Scotland.

Each week, Residents are able to follow a structured programme of video called bespoke exercises, which are suitable for all Residents.

Modern technology is becoming an integral part of life in care homes. Residents have been adapting and showing a keen interest in trying different methods of communication.

Residents enjoyed seeing the staff dressed in pjs and Resident Barbara Armishaw said she is feeling the benefit of the exercises already!

Noreen Adkin, Home Manager, said, “PJ Day proved a great morale boost for colleagues, who are doing a wonderful job throughout these difficult times.”
