Care home in Hayes goes all out for Harvest FestivalThere was a Harvest Festival this week at Aston House in Hayes, Middlesex, with Residents enjoying a variety of autumnal activities.

Residents did fabulous work decorating the home with maple leaves and using seasonal shades of red, yellow and orange; while others were helping to assemble leaf mobiles to hang around the home.

Some of our Residents were so happy arranging the table by picking varieties of autumnal fruits and vegetables. See picture of the finished, beautiful display of Harvest fruits and vegetables set on the dining table by Residents, doesn’t it look fantastic!

There was much chat and laughter as Residents discussed memories of the Harvest Festival and the day ended with everyone enjoying a delicious supper with lovely music and dancing; Harvest Festival included some Festival songs to get everyone in the seasonal spirit.

One of the Aston House Colleagues commented, "With the winter quickly approaching, we're looking forward to our activities changing accordingly, trying new things like cheese and wine evenings, bonfire night celebrations and Christmas parties, of course!"

One Resident commented: "I really enjoyed helping decorate the home ready for Harvest Festival, I can't wait to see the end result."

Home Manager, Seema Sandeep-Jose, commented: "I look forward getting our Residents involved with seasonal activities as it keeps things fresh and exciting!”
