Residents and Colleagues at HC One’s The Rowans care home got into the American spirit to celebrate the 4th of July.
Colleagues at the Coalville care home put on a fantastic spread of American style food which included BBQ pulled pork, southern fried chicken, macaroni cheese, sweet potato fries and followed by ice cream cheesecake, topped with classic American candy, Reeses pieces.
There was so much to choose from, and it was all delicious!
Residents really enjoyed trying the different food and even more so having a glass of wine or two to say cheers to the American celebration.
The room was decorated in all things stars and stripes too to keep with the theme.
Conor Alborn-Twomey, who is a senior carer at the home, commented “it was an awesome day, Residents and staff all thoroughly enjoyed the day”.
