The Hyde care home, in Bridport, Dorset, have recently obtained a new candy cart, and they couldn’t wait to get it out!
Every Wednesday the cart comes out after lunch and offers a wide selection of old-fashioned sweets which is so much fun. Colleagues took pictures of the Residents having fun with the new cart and sent these to families which were very well received.
All Residents loved it and trying things that they hadn’t before (such as popping candy), and one said, “It makes me feel young again!”
Home Manager, Nicola Grinton, said it was such a wonderful idea and, “A real treat each week.”
