Residents at HC-One’s Dingle Meadow care home in Dudley enjoyed a games afternoon and sweepstake on Grand National Day.
On the morning of 14th April, Residents gathered in the homes lounge to organise a small games day, based around the traditional Grand National race at 5:15pm.
There was lots of deliberating and discussion as Residents picked their horses, some were based on colour, some on patterns and some were picked if their name had a significant meaning to them.
As well as this, Residents and Colleagues organised a game of bingo for Residents to enjoy before the big race. Residents took this opportunity to socialise with other Residents, socially distanced and build on the relationships they already head with each other.
Residents won prizes such as, chocolate, hand cream, cosmetics and face cream. After the bingo, the race was ran and three lucky Residents were lucky to win 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes.
