Residents and Colleagues at HC-One’s The Beeches care home in Dukinfield, collected goods throughout December to gift to a local foodbank.
The local St Mark’s of Dukinfield food bank holds a special place in The Beeches Resident Phyllis Thomas’ heart, who’s husband was the Vicar at the Church for many years, before moving into The Beeches.
With the home organising this donation, it ensures that Phyllis can still be involved in helping at the Church like she has done for many years.
Beeches Resident Phyllis said: “It’s been so lovely to give something back to a place that means so much to me and my family. To able to help others at the difficult time and that I can still keep in touch with my Church.”
Sade Smith, The Beeches wellbeing coordinator said: “It is nice that Phyllis can stay in touch with the Church, helping out with the collection. It means so much that she can still be involved in helping others.”
