Residents and Colleagues at HC One’s April Park care home wanted to give back to their local community to help out at this difficult time.
During these tough times everybody has been coming together more than ever, even though we have to do so by being apart. Everybody at the Eckington care home wanted to help out others in any way they could, so were busy coming up with ideas how they could give back.
The Coronavirus outbreak has had a devastating effect on the vulnerable and elderly, with simple tasks like going to do a food shop becoming near impossible.
This is where the home wanted to help out, by putting together 5 grocery packages and donating them to people within the local community who are struggling to get their daily essentials.
It’s lovely to help out others and to be kind during such a hard time for so many people. One of the staff commented “This was a lovely day.”
