Falkirk care home delighted to accept kind donations from local supermarketColleagues at HC-One’s Barleystone Court care home in Falkirk were delighted to receive some very kind Christmas donations from their local Iceland branch.

Barleystone Court Home Manager, Pamela Cummings, was delighted to take delivery of Christmas goodies for the Residents and staff on 10th December.

Thomas from the Grangemouth branch of Iceland popped in with bags full of mince pies, shortbread chocolates and many other Christmas gifts. Thomas told the staff that the gifts had been donated by the staff and customers who work and shop at the Iceland store.

The links that Barleystone have with their local friends in the community have only strengthened since the coronavirus pandemic brought everyone together and it is wonderful to see.

“What a wonderful community we have, I am excited to have a mince pie when the tea trolley next comes around,” said one Resident.

Barleystone Court Home Manager, Pamela Cummings said: “People have been so generous, all the way through the coronavirus pandemic, and even still now.”

“Our Residents are going to have a wonderful Christmas.”
