Festive fun at Upwood care homeHC-One’s Manor House care home Residents were delighted to be getting into the festive spirit as the home held a Christmas fayre to remember.

Residents helped to craft items and filled goody bags with a variety of treats to be sold at the fayre. Many stalls were in place with various games for guests to enjoy, including ‘guess the weight of the Christmas cake’ and chocolate activities.

Everyone including Residents and their Relatives enjoyed getting into the Christmas theme as they dressed to impress in their festive clothing, with one Resident donning a beautiful tinsel trilby hat and her best Christmas earrings.

Residents and their families enjoyed a treat of refreshments and festive delights such as cakes and chocolates, before everyone took part in the raffle to win a variety of exciting prizes.

£570 was raised altogether which will go towards the Residents’ comfort fund, with everyone enjoying the wonderful festive atmosphere. One Resident commented: “Today was such an enjoyable day with a great turnout, we all enjoyed the games and stalls.”
