Colleagues at HC-One’s Springfield House care home in Gateshead were recently surprised by the homes local dance school, as they sent Residents a huge collection of gifts.
Families of Middleton School of Dance bought Christmas presents for each Resident and every staff member at Springfield House. The owner of the dance school Ami Middleton said: “It has been such a difficult year for everyone. We wanted to show the girls from the dance school the kindness of giving.”
Jill Wright, Resident Liaison at Springfield House said: “We are overwhelmed and so grateful for all the beautiful gifts. It has been a massive boost for staff and Residents with this random act of kindness".
Residents are going to write to the girls and their families and start what is hopefully a lovely intergenerational pen pal friendship. Once the restrictions are lifted Middleton School of Dance are going to visit the home for afternoon tea.
