Grimsby care home enjoy afternoon of Songs of PraiseResidents at HC One’s Clarendon Hall care home enjoyed an afternoon of watching Songs of Praise today.

The churches may currently be closed to visitors, but the presence of the Lord was felt at the Grimsby care home this afternoon.

Each Resident was given a hymn book and they joined in with hymns they all know and love, including "Abide With Me" and "How Great thou Art."

Resident Jessie commented “I remember singing that one in a school assembly” and Barbara sweetly said “Can we pray for the staff who have been looking after us?”

With readings from the homes wellbeing coordinator, the afternoon included mindful moments to reflect and some prayers for all.
Home administrator Stephanie said “well you can certainly feel the love in this room!”

The home even had their own percussionists, as instruments were handed out and rattled with enthusiasm. The afternoon was finished off with a delicious afternoon tea.
