Guisborough care home Residents show their love for animals through artResidents at HC-One’s Park House care home in Guisborough adore animals and they recently showed this by creating some amazing ‘animal art’ to put up in the home.

At Park House, there is a huge love for animals amongst staff and Residents. Many have pets and enjoyed a lot of animal visits before the coronavirus pandemic, so they are missing the enjoyment of holding and seeing animals.

Residents were delighted to be sent a set of wooden animals in all shapes and sizes from a local joiner. The Residents took real delight in painting them and making them look vibrant.

A board was painted by Residents with a lovely blue sky, clouds and some lush green grass complete with a rainbow on too.  After this, Colleagues put some hand drawn and handmade animals on to the board and made a colourful montage of beautiful animals after they had been glued on.

A local building firm, BMS were delighted to frame the picture for Park House, free of charge and Residents were delighted with the end result.

Park House Home Manager, Julie Woods said: “I am so proud of the Resident’s achievement. This display of animal is wonderful and will look beautiful in the home.”
