Helpful Basildon Residents take on new care home job rolesSome of the Residents at Ghyll Grove care home in Basildon, Essex, have been recognised by Colleagues for their help around the home.

It is such a wonderful atmosphere at Ghyll Grove and some Residents, including Charlie, Jenny and Sylvia, like to be very helpful in all sorts of everyday tasks and activities.

In response, the wellbeing team have given them their own “job roles” and tasks to do, as well as Maxine in reception who has had some special HC-One name badges made up for them too.

On the badges details the Resident or ‘Colleagues’ name and details have also been displayed on the wall alongside the care team photos so they are really included as part of the team.

Each Resident has their own little jobs that they do daily around the home and they were all so happy and loved receiving their badges from Ghyll Grove Colleagues.

Home Manager, Grace Tshabangu, commented, “Some of our Residents are incredibly helpful and we think they should be recognised. They really enjoy doing their daily tasks as they know they are helping the other Residents by doing so. Huge thank you goes to Charlie, Jenny and Sylvia.”
