Ilkeston care home host a teddy bear huntDuring these difficult times, HC One’s Ladywood care home decided to spread some joy across the community by creating a teddy bear hunt.

The Ilkeston care home and Resident Graham got involved with placing Larry of Ladywood, the home mascot, in his window in the care home. The bear is placed in this spot so he is visible outside for local children to see when they are outside for their daily exercise.

Staff also placed other teddy bears along the route that they would walk on, leading to a view of Larry. This fun idea was just to make the children smile on their walk and give them something else to focus on too.

Graham, one of the Residents, loves having Larry in his window. He said “I hope the children have fun!”
