Making music at Leicester care homeResidents at HC One’s Harley Grange care home have been having plenty of fun this afternoon making music.

The Leicester care home invested in some new musical instruments including xylophones and chime bars for music club and Christmas.

Colleagues and Residents play simple tunes using colours, ‘Name that Tune’ and ‘Sing a Long’. The home put their own words to ‘My Favourite Things’ too.

All the Residents enjoy having a play on the new instruments. They were all having such a good time, the Colleagues then bought a small keyboard to go along with the rest and played guess the instrument.

Singing along to Residents favourite Hymns is the activity that goes down the best with the instruments.

One of the Residents commented “it reminds me of school assemblies”, whilst another said “I love singing along to the hymns and show songs.”
