Residents at HC-One’s Yew Trees care home in Dukinfield, Manchester enjoyed a Christmas film afternoon with lots of lovely treats.
On 18th December, Residents were treated to hot chocolates, with cream and mini mallows, along with biscuits made into smores via microwave melted marshmallow with grated chocolate.
Reisdents snacked on these wonderful treats whilst watching classic Christmas films such as Elf, Love Actually and more. They also enjoyed some Christmas music playing in the background, some even had a little dance and a sing along.
Yew Trees local Asda branch in Ashton under Lyne kindly donated the ingredients for the smores treats, which the Residents were really surprised by but loved.
Home Manager at Yew Trees, Vikki Jones said: “It’s good when we can do something different for the Residents.”
