Morpeth care home Colleagues throw gender reveal party for excited ResidentsA Colleague at HC-One’s Foxton Court in Morpeth is pregnant with her first baby, and after telling Residents, who were over the moon, it was decided to have a gender reveal party in the home, so Residents can join in on the celebrations.

Care Assistant, Kirstie, gathered Residents into the lounge, where Colleagues had decorated the walls and tables with pink and blue balloons, glasses of prosecco, cupcakes and other refreshments.

Residents had the opportunity to have a guess what the gender was, which was an unfamiliar experience for Residents as a ‘gender reveal’ had not really been heard of, but it was still super exciting for them. The majority of Foxton Court’s Residents guessed Kristie was having a girl and only two guessed a boy correctly.

Afterwards, Residents and Colleagues spoke about the times when they were pregnant and how different things are these days. Each and every one was able to recall their own experiences

Residents were desperate to find out any names Kristie had in mind but sadly they have to wait a few more month for that.

Foxton Court Home Manager, Joanne Bulford said: ”It’s lovely to see Residents being socially involved even when these strange times are happening with coronavirus, Residents have remained really patient and understanding.”
