Today at Springwater Lodge care home, staff helped to decorate the Residents’ walking frames and wheelchairs to add a bit of creative flair to the standard designs.
Residents chose how they wanted their frame decorated all had bright and colourful ideas, Resident David opted for a train theme whereas Dot wanted none other than Elvis Presley attached to hers.
One Resident said, “I really like mine. I know which one is mine now”.
Staff then put on a movie in the afternoon for everyone to show their new creations off.
A Springwater Colleague said, “We were singing along to songs and getting everyone involved in the making of the frames. The look on the Residents’ face with their frame is priceless. We now aim to make sure all frames and wheelchairs are always decorated to the Resident’s taste”.
