Resident makes her very own family tree at East Sussex care homeA Resident has been hard at working figuring out and presenting her family tree with a beautiful display at HC-One’s Hailsham House care home in Hailsham, East Sussex.

After hearing that one of her granddaughters was researching their family tree, Betty Martin decided that she would love to make her own and set out to work.

Betty managed to get photos of all her family, including her four great grandchildren. As Betty was putting her family tree together she talked about her fond memories of raising her family.

Betty commented: “This is my family tree and all the people I love are in it. It’s grown into a big tree now with lots of people and it will keep getting bigger and bigger.”

With each photo she attached to the tree, Betty told a story. Each photo and person represented memories and stories of time spent together that Colleagues listened to with glee.

Hailsham House Home Manager, Katie Brewster, said: “We are so happy that Betty has been able to make her family tree and we have all enjoyed the stories she has to tell about her family.”
