Residents prepare for highly anticipated gardening competition at Birmingham care homeResidents at HC-One’s Roxburgh House care home in Birmingham started preparing for them high highly anticipated gardening competition this May, planting bulbs and sowing seeds.

As the spring sun begins to shine and the summer months approach, Residents have been sowing seeds in pots to plants for the homes garden. The aim of Residents is to grow some lovely bulbs to coincide with the end of spring and the beginning of summer, so they can flourish in the sun.

The Residents who took part, Denise, Janet and Eileen love gardening and have a wealth of experience in it. They took to it look a duck to water and didn’t need much assistance at all.

It was a great experience for the Residents and it also gave them an opportunity to socialise with other Residents.

Located in the popular outskirts of Cradley Heath in the West Midlands, Roxburgh House is a friendly care home, with 44 beds, offering residential and residential dementia care.
