Sheffield Residents have a fun-filled month in MarchWith both Mother’s Day and St Patrick’s Day both taking place within a few days of each other, Residents and Colleagues at Alexander Court care home, in South Yorkshire, have been very busy with lots to take part in.

On Friday 12th March, the local church donated some beautiful Daffodil bunches for all of the Residents for Mothering Sunday. As part of the weekend, Residents also enjoyed cheese and crackers, wine and chocolates accompanied with some nice music. There was also the opportunity to reminisce and many Residents talked about their mothers and the experience of being a mother too.

Kitchen team member Kerry, pictured left, put on a lovely spread on the decorated trolley which was thoroughly enjoyed by Residents.

Today for St Patrick’s Day, Colleagues dressed up for the day to celebrate all things Irish with the Residents, see pictured right. There was Guinness, snacks, Irish music and a themed quiz too.

One of the Residents laughed, “It’s great to see everyone in the funny hats and see the home decorated, it looks lovely!”

Jimitha Jacob, Home Manager, said, “We have had a fun-filled week for Residents and everyone always enjoys the themed events.”
