Special pumpkin flowers and fancy dress for Congleton ResidentsResidents and Colleagues were getting well and truly into the swing of Halloween with all sorts of wonderful activities and décor planned at Greengables care home in Cheshire.

As well as the typical Halloween fancy dress, spooky music and tasty treats, Colleagues had organised many activities such as making glow stick milk bottle lanterns for hanging outside on the tree. Residents also made a witch scarecrow and decorated a Halloween tree.

Residents, Eileen and Enid won a Halloween themed raffle which they were over the moon with!

See pictured other Residents Margaret, Sheila, Glenys and Lesley all getting involved in the dress up.

“Everyone looks brilliant dressed up in Halloween costumes,” commented one Resident as they encouraged each other to dress up in fancy dress. They all laughed!

One of the most memorable tasks of the day was making pumpkin flower arrangements (pictured bottom right).

Home Manager, Dawn Sadler, remarked, “Everyone had so much fun and we are looking forward to seeing the lanterns when its dark!”
