Sunderland care home Residents make handmade Christmas gifts for loved onesResidents at HC-One’s Falstone Court care home in Sunderland wanted to make their own special gifts for their loved ones this Christmas, as the coronavirus restrictions continue.

With Christmas being a little different this year for everyone, Residents at Falstone Court came up with the great idea of creating some lovely handmade gifts and cards to send their friends and families this year.

Colleagues at the home thought this was a brilliant excuse to go all out and bought the Residents all the equipment they needed, card, scissors, glue, lots of Christmas decorations and ornaments, to make their wish a reality.

On 13th of November, Colleagues gathered Residents together, all socially distanced of course and they all set to work in making their Christmas masterpieces. Colleagues played music from the likes of Nat King Cole and offered refreshments to Residents during the day.

Residents made personalised cards, baubles and drew some lovely pictures all to send to their loved ones back home. “They all look lovely, so beautiful,” said Resident Jean Robertson.
