Thoughtful Glenrothes care home Resident wears a mask to protect staffA very thoughtful Resident at HC-One’s Woodside Court in Glenrothes has began wearing a mask in the home to help protect the team who work there.

James O’Brien, a Resident at Woodside Court, was curious as to why staff were now wearing masks more often and why he couldn’t wear one. Colleagues at the home explained to him that staff were wearing masks to help stop the spread of the coronavirus and that it protects him as well as his fellow Residents.

James then explained to staff how he wanted to protect them from the coronavirus, so staff kindly gave him a mask so that he could wear it and protect the staff from the virus. The staff were so grateful to James for taking it up on himself to ask for a mask to protect others around him.

Nicola Procter Woodside Court Home Manager said: “This is such a lovely gesture from James, if it makes him feel like he is doing his bit, then that is great.”
