HC-One’s Park House care home in Guisborough commemorated Victory in Europe Day on Saturday 8th May.
Residents and team members came together at Park House to celebrate VE Day, the lounge was decorated with flags and bunting and a delicious buffet lunch was served as Residents enjoyed a virtual concert from the Belle Cantro Vintage Sisters who performed a variety of wartime songs.
Everyone enjoyed sharing their memories of their early years during the war and stories they were told from their family members. A great day was had by all, with one Resident commenting: “It was lovely to celebrate together, I loved listening to the songs.”
Park House Home Manager, Julie Woods said: “There were smiles all around, I am pleased everyone enjoyed our VE Day celebrations.”
