Residents at HC-One’s Barleystone Court in Westquarter celebrated their Bonfire Night different this year due to coronavirus, with a virtual display and a pyjama night.
Barleystone staff decided that coronavirus restrictions were not going to mean that Residents celebrations would go down like a damp squib.
After asking Residents their favourite things to eat and drink on Bonfire Night, Colleagues decided on Hot Chocolates, Parkin and Shortbread for the supper trolley.
Colleagues put a Virtual Fireworks Display from YouTube on the TV's in the home so Residents could watch some wonderful displays with their treats.
One Resident said: “It was nice to stay inside and not brave the cold.”
Colleagues joined in on the fun and wore pyjamas to work and donated to the Residents Comfort Fund in which they raised a total of £16.
Barleystone Home Manager Pamela Cummings said: “The Residents loved the fireworks but I think the highlight was seeing the staff in PJ's.”
