Residents and Colleagues have been enjoying a feast of pancakes this Shrove Tuesday at HC-One’s Westwood Lodge care home in Wigan, Greater Manchester.
Colleagues whipped up their best batch of pancakes ready for everyone at the home to enjoy with their favourite toppings.
John Wilkinson, a Resident at Westwood Lodge, said: “I love pancake day! Me and my wife used to always make pancakes together.”
Residents had plenty of toppings to choose from, including fresh fruit, golden syrup, lemon, sugar, chocolate and whipped cream.
Everyone enjoyed tucking into their delicious pancakes while they swapped tales of years gone by when they made the treats with their children and partners. They even laughed as they reminisced over their memories of disastrous pancake flipping.
