One of the Residents at Overdene care home in Winsford, Cheshire, Alan showed fellow Residents and Colleagues what dancing should be like now
As Alan quoted, “As it was in my day, none of this head banging stuff”, he entertained and demonstrated the ‘old-fashioned’ style of dancing by swaying in the ballroom way when staff had put some music on before lunch.
One Colleague remarked, “It was very body singing and lovely to see Alan dancing. He generally walks with a stick so seeing this was amazing and really bought a smile to all who witnessed it.”
Another Resident, Mary, commented, “Now that is how dancing should be.”
Cath Burns, Home Manager, said, “It was amazing to see Alan so light on his feet.”
