Working at the heart of HC-One’s family of care homes are our care home teams, who work around the clock to provide care and support to people living in our homes, as well as their families. With dedication and compassion, they ensure every person living with us feels at home, cared for, and valued.

Our teams consist of a variety of skilled professionals, each playing a vital role in delivering the highest standard of care and living up to our promise of caring with kindness. Here are some of the key members of our care home teams:

Home Managers

Our Home Managers are the leaders of each care home, responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring the highest standards of care, and creating a warm, welcoming environment for residents and their families.

By taking the time to get to know the background and life stories of people living in our homes, our Home Managers provide guidance and support to their teams, ensuring every decision reflects our commitment to caring with kindness.

Supporting them in these efforts are our Deputy Home Managers and Unit Managers, who help oversee the running of the home, ensuring seamless care and leadership in everything we do.

 - Care Assistants

Care Assistants

Our Care Assistants and Senior Care Assistants are at the heart of daily life in our care homes. They provide personal care, companionship, and support to residents, always treating them with dignity and respect.

Whether it’s helping someone start their day, sharing in conversation, or supporting them to take part in an activity they love, our Care Assistants ensure every resident feels valued and cared for. Their dedication helps residents live fulfilling and comfortable lives, while giving families the reassurance that their relatives are in safe, supportive hands.

 - Nurses

Nurses

Our Registered Nurses bring clinical expertise and compassionate care to every aspect of their work. They play a crucial role in supporting the health and wellbeing of residents, providing medical care, administering treatments, and working closely with families to ensure our care is person-led, by understanding what matters most to the people living with us.

Through their specialist skills, they deliver exceptional nursing care that promotes dignity, comfort, and quality of life for every person living in our homes.

 - Activities Co-ordinators

Activities Co-ordinators

Our Activities Coordinators are central to creating vibrant and engaging environments for people living in our homes. They plan and deliver a variety of activities, from arts and crafts to exercise classes and social events, promoting physical, emotional, and social wellbeing.

They also help residents stay connected with the wider community through local events, visits from community groups, and organising trips out — ensuring life in our homes remains full of variety and joy.

 - Catering and Housekeeping

Catering and Housekeeping

Our Chefs, Kitchen Assistants, and housekeeping teams make daily life more comfortable and enjoyable for residents.

From preparing nutritious, delicious meals to keeping living spaces clean, fresh, and welcoming, they create an environment where residents can relax and feel at home. Their work supports wellbeing, dignity, and comfort, while giving families peace of mind that every detail is cared for.

Supporting our care home teams

Our care home teams are supported by experienced colleagues in their regional leadership teams, including Managing Directors, Regional Directors, and Area Directors. These leaders provide expert guidance, share best practices, and ensure every home has the tools and resources it needs to deliver exceptional care.

What’s more, our care homes benefit from the expertise of HC-One’s wider team of specialists and advisors, who offer guidance on areas such as dementia care, catering, and resident safety, helping us deliver on our commitment to caring with kindness.
