Brize Meadow Lodge Welcomes Dawn Walkers with a Warm Treat for a Worthy Cause

Residents, colleagues, and members of the local community at HC-One’s Brize Meadow Lodge Care Home in Brize Norton, Oxfordshire, joined together in support of a meaningful Dawn Walk organised by the Co-op Funeral team to raise funds and awareness for Samaritans.

The event, which took place on Sunday 12th October, saw around 15 participants take part in the early morning walk, enjoying friendly conversation and the chance to discover new parts of the local area, all while walking in support of a vital mental health charity.

Together, the group raised over £350 for Samaritans, with donations still open via the Team Central Co-op fundraising page here: Donate to Team Central COOP fundraising page?

Following the walk, participants were warmly welcomed at Brize Meadow Lodge, where the care home team treated them to freshly brewed hot drinks, bacon butties, and pastries, along with heartfelt congratulations for their efforts.

The event highlighted the strong community connections between Brize Meadow Lodge and local partners, as well as the home’s ongoing commitment to supporting wellbeing, togetherness, and meaningful causes.
