HC-One’s Kings Court Care Home in Middlebeck, Newark, Nottinghamshire, marked its 2nd anniversary with a vibrant birthday party on Saturday, May 24, from 3-5pm, bringing together residents, relatives, and the local community.
The celebration, held in the beautifully decorated home with pink balloons, banners, and flowers, featured party games, music, a buffet spread, and a glass of fizz for attendees. The event capped off Dementia Action Week, during which the home hosted a series of engaging activities to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s Society.
Throughout Dementia Action Week (May 15-21), Kings Court residents enjoyed a variety of events, including outdoor exercise groups led by Mike from Transform Gym, taking advantage of the beautiful weather in the home’s garden.
Catherine Skorin, HC-One’s Kings Court Care Home Front of House Manager, said:
"We were thrilled to celebrate Kings Court’s 2nd birthday with our residents, their loved ones, and the wider community. The party was a joyful occasion, filled with laughter, music, and connection, and it perfectly rounded off Dementia Action Week.
“Our residents have loved spending time in the garden and taking part in the week’s activities to support Alzheimer’s Society. We’re proud to be a hub for Middlebeck, and we look forward to welcoming everyone to our events during Care Home Open Week in June."
