90th birthday celebrations at Park House care homeA very special birthday celebration took place in December for one lovely Residents at Park House care home in Guisborough.

Olive Dunning, has recently celebrated her 90th birthday, surrounded by her favourite animal.

On the 4th of December 1932, Olive Dunning was born in Middlesborough! Olive had one son, some grown up grandchildren, and a great grandson, Finlay, who shares Olive’s passion for owls.

Due to Olive's passion for owls she had an afternoon with Owl Adventures. They travelled from Ripon and brought 4 beautiful birds of prey. A giant European Eagle Owl called Henrietta, a naughty Barn Owl called Lunar and a miniature African Owl, which Olive said was the cutest thing she had ever seen and wanted to keep.

Lucy, the demonstrator also brought a wag tailed hawk called Maverick who looked like he was very much in charge.

Olive's son, daughter in law, grandchildren and great grandson Finlay all came along with nephew Kenneth, who brought his daughter too.

It was such a great day and Olive celebrated her birthday doing something she loves.

Julie Woods, Care Home Manager, commented, “Olive had such a lovely birthday and it was such a great day.”
