A trip to Celtic Park for Douglas View care home ResidentsResidents at Douglas View, nursing and nursing dementia care home, in Hamilton, Lanarkshire, had a lovely trip out to visit Celtic Park.

Douglas View care home have linked up with the Celtic Foundation and the Residents have been attending the group on a Monday on a weekly basis. 

When Residents and Colleagues arrived, they were greeted by Colleagues from the foundation and other members of the community. Residents have a cuppa and a chat while playing games and sing songs. They get the opportunity to play bowls which can be competitive at times which everyone really enjoys.

Agnes Douglas got a wee job to give the bingo pens out within the group before starting the bingo.
The Celtic Foundation provide everyone with their lunch and sandwiches and endless supply of tea or coffee!

Everyone really looks forward to the trip each Monday and are already get excited to get together with other members of the community.

Margaret Kelly, a Resident, said, “I absolutely love coming to Celtic Park.”

“It is fantastic to meet new people and everyone made me feel very welcome”, remarked, Dusty Young, another Resident from Douglas View.

Louise Fulton, Care Home Manager, added, “The Celtic Foundation always go out their way to make all of the Residents feel very welcome.”
