In the week leading up to the Coronation of King Charles, Residents at HC-One’s
Aberpennar Court care home, in Miskin, Mountain Ash, enjoyed a whole programme of events, entertainment, activities and so much laughter and smiles.
On Wednesday 3rd May, Colleagues at the 47-bed residential and nursing care home organised for a local vocalist called Anthony to come in and sing for Resident live.
Following on, Friday saw even more live music performances with Rhian, who is also a local performer, playing the keyboard and singing to Residents a variety of songs over the past decades.
Then Saturday was the big day, with the Coronation being shown on television in the home for Residents to tune in and watch the event accompanied with a delicious banquet feast. Everyone enjoyed watching the royal family and shouting out, “God save the King!”
Leanne Gunter, Care Home Manager, remarked, “It was certainly an event to remember, and everyone enjoyed joining in with the celebrations.”
