An afternoon filled with dancing at St Peters Court care homeResidents at St Peters Court, residential and residential dementia care home, in Redcar, enjoyed an afternoon filled with music and dancing.

Relative, Residents and Colleagues had a lovely afternoon as, Derrick a local DJ, came along to the care home along with his turntables and screen, to play some music for the Residents.

The ‘Let’s Dance’ event was created for those Residents who are living with dementia. The Residents enjoyed themselves, singing, clapping, twirling and strutting their stuff around the lounge.

Both Residents and Relatives are looking forward to the next ‘Let’s Dance’ event happening in April.

Beverley, one of the Residents, said, “It was amazing, I can’t wait for the next dance.”

Myra, another Resident, added, “Thank you for bringing this wonderful afternoon to us all. You’ve all worked so hard.” Resident, Catherine, remarked, “I’ve has a wonderful afternoon. I’ll never forget today.”

Jamie Stephenson, Care Home Manager, commented, “An amazing afternoon which was enjoyed by all of our Residents and families. We will all be remembering this afternoon for a very long time.”

The ‘Let’s Dance’ event went down well and the care home are looking to host one of these events each month.
