An egg-citing Easter at Quayside care homeResidents and Colleagues at Quayside, nursing and nursing dementia care home in Yoker, Glasgow had a lovely time celebrating Easter with lots of fun activities.

Over the Easter weekend everyone got involved in many Easter themed events.

Residents and Colleagues worked together to decorate Easter houses. Each of the communities received a blank house and could decorate it anyway they liked.

Both Colleagues and Residents were involved, and it became very competitive between the houses, with lights, gardens and accessories being added.

All Residents received an Easter Egg and a personalised easter card on easter Sunday.

There was a treasure hunt, with families, Colleagues and Residents getting involved finding hidden easter treasure around the grounds. Everyone who took part was entered in a prize draw to win a special prize.

On Easter Monday, there was a fantastic party with Residents and Colleagues dancing and singing along to entertainer Shelly Mac whilst enjoying a tipple from the bar.

The singer then judged the Easter Houses and bonnets, and everyone was excited to see the winners be revealed.

Anne McDade, Wellbeing Coordinator, remarked, “It was great to see the Residents and Colleagues getting involved in the house competition, it got very competitive!”
