Residents at HC-One’s Ash Grange care home celebrated the coronation of King Charles and Queen Camilla on Friday 5th May with a lively party and buffet.
Relatives and Friends were also invited to the event, the highlight of which was a delicious buffet lunch provided by Ash Grange’s kitchen staff, followed by live entertainment provided by husband-and-wife duo Street and Lane. An afternoon of singing, dancing and laughter ensued as all attendees enjoyed the opportunity to socialise and commemorate an historic national occasion.
The following day was the day of the coronation proper, and Residents gathered together to watch the service from Westminster Abbey on the television. Further refreshments were provided as Colleagues joined Residents to follow proceedings and wish the new king the very best luck for the future.
One Resident of Ash Grange said: “It was a lovely buffet followed by a brilliant afternoon party where everyone enjoyed themselves, smiling and singing. It’s been one of the best parties I’ve been to!”
